AT ILAN DEI VENICE WE WANT YOU TO

GO OUTSIDE AND BE.

Be moving. Be relaxed. Be dreaming. Be hosting a dinner party. And while you are being, be comfortable, be surrounded by products that are as beautiful and purposeful as the elements of nature around you. Our products inspire creativity and optimism, foster conversations and gatherings; this is our reason for being. At Ilan Dei Venice we design and make furniture and accessories for Urban Outdoor Living to inspire a life beyond the one we live indoors.

All of our products are thoughtfully designed and tested in Venice, CA and manufactured in Los Angeles. We are the offspring of ILAN DEI STUDIO which has been designing and fabricating in Venice for over 25 years. We are a family of accomplished designers, thinkers and doers who passionately live and love the Urban Outdoor Lifestyle that is quintessential California.

OUR STORES

Our retail location is dedicated to being outside in the middle of the city. They are hubs for community gatherings, our exhibits, events, and merchandise are directly related to our passion, allowing us to meaningfully share our love of Outdoor Living with others. .

ABOUT ILAN DEI

A vibrant member of our global community, Ilan continually absorbs the cultures and topographies of our sphere.  As a commercial fisherman who worked the Atlantic Ocean, Ilan harnessed the awe-inspiring character of nature as a compass to an apprenticeship with the traditional-master Japanese woodworker, Kai Ito.  In spite of classical foundations, Ilan also embraced dense urbanity and yokes his expertise in digital fabrication tools to realize objects that traverse both worlds.  Today, Ilan's style is a "lush minimalism," which connects modernism's design-clarity to the warmth of rich materials and color palettes.  This practice has led to such honors as the 2006 finalist for the American Society of Furniture Designers Pinnacle Award.  Though Ilan was born in Israel and journeyed through diverse neighborhoods, he calls Venice, California home.
